Actually I can’t offer enough thanks to you for our Uchi Lake experience. You have managed the lake into one awesome fishery. You and your staff are attentive but not over bearing. The meals are excellent. One always takes a chance when finding a place on the Internet. Your website claims were attractive but one never knows. Am I glad I took that chance. Our trip was unbelievable. You now have 4 more huge fans. My brothers and I will have something to talk about for a long time. I hope your summer season is safe and enjoyable.

First timer’s to Uchi. No doubt, hands down the best fishing I have ever seen. The staff Judy has is top notch. There is nothing that needs to be changed and I would highly recommend anyone to try Uchi. If I ever come back to Canada for another fishing trip I will come to Uchi Lake Lodge. Thank Judy for a get trip.

Our stay at Uchi Lake was everything we hoped it would be and much more. The fishing was fantastic, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent (Bertha is quite the cook and the shore lunches were awesome), and the beds were comfortable. We would highly recommend Uchi Lake Lodge to anyone who asks. We hope to be back soon!

Thank you so much Judy! The whole crew obviously had a great time. I am already thinking about the next time… I personally had the best trip I’ve had. I caught 15 northern over 30 inches including two 36s, a 38, and finally got a 40 incher! Lake seemed to be in great shape. Can’t wait to cross the border again. If you can send me an email address or something I’d love to send you a couple pictures. Jeff and I caught some giant northern, and got some beautiful dawn shots!

I wanted to once again say how much we enjoyed our trip to Uchi Lake Lodge this year. I can’t recall exactly how many times I’ve been there, but suffice to say it’s been a lot of times.
I’m so impressed on how your fishery has only improved since my first trip there a long time ago. You hear the stories all the time from your guests and albeit some stories may be embellished upon, the truth of the matter is that the walleye fishing at Uchi is simply the best. And, I might add the pike fishing is pretty darn good unto itself.
In closing, I look forward to next years visit and the possibilities that it holds.
The best to you and your family-take good care! Tell Bertha and Brenda that we miss them already, those two are absolutely the salt of the earth, great people.

Just wanted to let you know how much we all appreciated the hospitality again provided at Uchi Lake!!
We had a great time and caught plenty of fish, it is obvious that your conservation efforts have paid off over the years. We did not do a very good job updating your fish board, so I will summarize.
Biggest Walleyes-
31-1/4″ John Roberts

Abundant amount of fish between 25″ and 27″.
Biggest Northerns-
40″ Dave Grant

More northerns caught between 23″ and 27″’s than in the past.
We have been coming up for 20+years now and the fishing continues to be outstanding and get’s better every year. We had some new folks in our group this year and they all commented on how they had the time of there life. The fishing obviously is our drive, the camaraderie is what keeps us coming back.

Fishing at Uchi Lake is a dream come true. It is the best of several worlds. My wife and I recently completed our second trip to Uchi, and enjoyed it even more than the first trip. The walleye fishing is fantastic. The two of us caught more than 500 walleyes in the 7 days we spent at Uchi. The size of the fish is amazing! About one third of the walleyes we caught on this trip were 20 inches or greater in length. And boy, were they ever fat. The fish at Uchi must be on a high protein diet, because they were both good size and good fighters. The service we received from Judy and her staff was top notch. I believe you would be hard-pressed to find any better service at any fishing camp in Ontario. The bottom line is “They take care of you!” I would recommend Uchi Lake Lodge to anyone who is considering a fishing trip to Canada. They provide you with the complete Canadian fishing experience that all of us are after. Yes, we booked next year’s trip to Uchi before we left. We couldn’t bear the thought of missing a week in fishing heaven. Thanks again, and we will see you next June!

I have to tell you — you have the most pleasant guests I’ve ever come across. I told you last year how much time Bill Duran spent talking with me about your camp and the fishing. I also exchanged e-mails with Walt at the time, and he was also very helpful. I sent him an e-mail over the weekend to let him know that I was, in fact, going to Uchi this year and to thank him again for taking the time to share information with me. He responded by offering to e-mail or fax me a copy of a map of the lake marked with the spots where they did well. These guys are really sportsmen in the true sense of the word - just great guys. I’m really looking forward to seeing Bill next week. Looking forward to seeing you as well. Thanks for all your help leading up to our trip.

We’re back for the twelfth year: fishing, eating and laughing at Uchi! Judy continues to run a fun camp that we first came to because of good Canadian fishing and good food… and a bathroom! We keep coming back for those reasons, all the friends we have made … and new friends we meet every year. The weather is always changing and the fish are always moving…new hot spots change daily but with so many fish each trip out on the lake is a ball as is the adventure of traveling the river to fish Leg Lake… come give it a try… we’re looking forward to meeting you next year!

Hi Judy,
I just wanted to thank you for the fabulous time our group had on our moose hunt. I think all of our guys would agree that it truly was a hunt of a lifetime. We have been on a couple of other moose hunts in the last 8 years but nothing could compare with our experience at Uchi Lake. From our very first boat ride onto the lake we saw moose at seemingly every turn. Between our 5 hunters we estimate that we saw about 30 animals - bulls, cows and calves in the 3 1/2 days of actual hunting that we did. In the end we ended up filling 2 bull tags and 1 calf tag . We also missed opportunities at another bull and several calves. If we had had any cow tags we would have been filled out on the first or second day.
The accomodations at the lodge were excellent and the meals and service were outstanding. And of course the guides (Norm, Joe and Dave) were terrific. We had had previous experience with Norm McCreight so we knew what to expect with him. His knowledge and experience as a moose guide is unbelievable, and his endless humorous stories keeps everyone entertained (ask him about training tigers sometime). Thanks for agreeing to have him come and guide for us.
Our group hopes to book another hunt with you in 2 or 3 years. Hopefully we can get the same guides back again.
We look forward to seeing you again at the All Canada show in Milwaukee in January. Feel free to use any of us as a reference.
