I just wanted to say thank you for an excellent experience hunting at Uchi Lake Lodge. As you are aware, my party and I have hunted in Ontario for the past 3 years with another outfitter, and we researched your location thouroughly before agreeing to hunt with you. We can honestly say your lodge blew away the competition, and that our hunting trip was far better than we could have expected. The service of your guides, the food, the cabins, and of course, the wildlife at Uchi was better than we expected it to be. I would be happy to be a reference for you to anyone interested in considering your location for a moose hunt. After seeing over 22 moose in 4 days, compared to 2 - 3 moose over 7 days at the other 3 locations we hunted with other Ontario outfitters, anyone looking for a quality hunt should definately consider Uchi Lake. his letter is to let you know that we had the best fishing trip ever at Uchi Lodge this past August. Your resort is everything it was advertised to be and the fishing was great! I have enclosed a picture of my 30 1/2″ walleye. We have never caught so many walleye in the 26 or 30 inch range. Thanks for a great trip.

After our first trip in 2002, I thought that it was just good luck or timing that we caught so many fish: 4 men, 6 days, 609 fish caught. So we went back this year and WOW! 4 men, 6 days, 625 fish caught plus this 44 inch, 25 pounder, caught on 6 pound test l ine, and some large walleye from 25 to 27 inches long. You simply cannot beat the fishing here. And, with the service, it is just outstanding.
Yes, it was a great trip, we are currently planning to return next year with possibly more people. After everyone saw the fish pictures, they are now a little more interested, if you know what I mean. When are the other regulars coming up? Labor Day is September 6th and we may come up a week earlier. We’re still planning. Hope to see you at Pheasant Run next January.
Thanks again for providing such good service, food and fishing. I’m sure that your fishing rules and regulations are the main reason why fishing is so good.

Thanks for a great fishing adventure! Uchi was more than we expected… the hospitality, the service, the accommodations and the food were all awesome. Enclosed you will find some of the pictures we took during our stay. I am especially proud of the 29″ and 30″ walleyes!

Dear Judy, Cort and I just returned home from a trip we will never forget. We spent three days at your resort and I can honestly say there is nothing we would change. Everything you stated on your brochures was exactly the way we found it to be. The food was fabulous, the cabin was clean and comfortable, the boats and motors ran flawless and best of all the fishing was everything we had hoped it would be. We both thank you for a wonderful time.
P.S. I enclosed a couple of pictures you may want to hang on the lodge wall or use in your web site and a story of how Cort, only 14 years old, caught this big one:
Cort’s HUGE northern pike
… The second day we started to figure out what the big Northern were biting on and where they were located. After supper we went to the far North end of the lake. Cort (who is only 14 years old) was using a small weedless Silver Minnows casting into a weed bed in fairly shallow water. He hooked on to a fish and we couldn’t tell just how big it was till it swam under the boat and showed itself on the other side. We both could see it was a big one. I quickly tried to net it, which was a job in itself as the fish hung over both sides of the net. Just as it curled around and went into the net, it spit the lure out of its mouth. The hook had never been set, the Northern just clamped and held onto the lure as we pulled him into the boat. I laid it in the boat, measured it (40 inches) and took the picture which validated our catch. After releasing the big guy, Cort threw out two more casts to the same weed bed. On the third cast, he caught and pulled in a 38 incher of which we also have a picture of. An unvelievable 15 minutes of shing. We will be back to see you.

Judy….A special thanks to you and your staff for completely living up to your goal of total customer satisfaction. The claims made on your web site and brochures were totally accurate. Everyone in our group was pleased with the accommodations, meals, friendly atmosphere and most importantly the quality of the fishing. This was a special trip for Matt and I, as it was celebrating his graduation from college. We look forward to future trips as time permits in our busy lives. Rest assured, when we book the next one it will be back to Uchi.
