As I had the afternoon off July 18th 2011, on a hot and humid day decided to go fishing and explore a lake I do not know and have never been before. I parked my boat in front of a island just to the left of it dropped my line and had caught a few 20+ inch walleyes well that was good enough for me, I was packing up and realized my rod was bouncing and tugging i kicked over my drink grabbed my rod thought it was snagged….. be hold it wasn’t…. I pulled and pulled till I observed this awsome walleye, I landed it safely and measured it quickly 30 1/2 inch walleye and released it quickly…. WOW again awsome. Thanks UCHI LAKE LODGE

We had a second killer day yesterday in calm, hot conditions. North wind was mild. Night crawlers worked especially well on bottom bouncer rigs.
Our best day was cloudy, fish turned on right as rain started. Never had so much fun fishing in the rain.

Not a bad start to the trip- a 29 1/2″ Walleye and a 44″ Northern, both caught on the same day as the fly-in! So far in the week, all sorts of Walleyes in the 26+ range, with the largest so far being 30 1/2″.
Fewer Pike getting caught, but plenty in the 26-27″ take-home size range, with a few in the mid 30’s. We even had a rare Blue Northern make it into a boat, measuring 33″. What a great sight!
Great weather for fishing, with lots of places to get on fish without getting too beat up by either the sun or the wind. Cleaning fish now for the 3rd shore lunch of the trip!

Total fish caught: Jeff over 200 walleyes which the largest was a 27.7, also a 26 and 22. Largest northern was caught by my dad at 35 in long. His largest fish ever. Once we figured out the fish it was a blast!! Love Uchi!!!!

A slow day today. Bright sunny day with little to no wind. Did get a nice 26 and 1/2 inch walleye this morning. Fishing should improve tomorrow with a little more wind and cloud cover!

Had another great day Thursday. Went to Leg Lake and we caught 75 walleyes. About three quarters of them were 20 to 22 inches long. Weather has been great!

The weather has been great! The fishing has been equally as good. The two of us caught 105 walleyes yesterday and 70 so far today. We have this evening to go yet! A big northern grabbed one of our walleyes today and gave us a tussle for awhile. Great fun! The fish seem to be biting just about anywhere on the lake!
