We were fishing 3 to a boat, drift fishing with jigs. When all of a sudden my pole doubles over, and so does the guys next to me. We land the monster walleye together, because both of our jigs were in its mouth! A 28 in. hog walleye!

Its are second day here and we had one of the best starts to a trip we ever had! we caught about 45 fish yesterday including a 23.5″ walleye. Today was even better, we went out after lunch and started catching and it did not stop. We quit to come in for dinner. We are guessing 70 fish or so. landed a 35.5″ northern and a 25 inch walleye. quite a few 16″ to 22″ Walleye. We miss are fishing partners this year.
Fishing is outstanding!! Jig and a nightcrawler yeilded a 24 1/2 inch walleye, 1st fish of the trip. The three boats together caught over 98 fish this evening. More to come…
This year we had another great week at Uchi Lake, it was the groups 14th. As always Judy and the staff were awesome! The fishing really picked up as the week went on and by the last day even Dwayne “Swifty” Lenz was catching a lot of fish. This year we had 23 Walleyes over 22 inches with the 2 biggest being a 27″ from Bob and a 26.5″ from Joe. As far as northern go we caught 25 of them over 30 inches! The biggest were a 41″ by Joe and to everyone’s surprise a 39″ by Swifty. Overall it was another great trip at Uchi! Fish on!
We went into Leg Lake in the morning looking to get fish to take home. HAD LOTS OF TROUBLE. WE COULD NOT FIND WALLEYE SMALL ENOUGH. It was the best hour and a half fishing Sean ever had. We caught more fish 22 inches and over than we did under 18 inches.
In addition to numerous fish between 18 and 21 inches, we caught 4 22″ walleye,
3 23″ 2 24″ and 1 26″ fish. Awesome!!

A beautiful day in Uchi with little wind. Good quantity of fish. Sean was slaying both Northern and Walleye slashing Husky Jerks.
The man does not know he should let his dad catch some fish.
Some rain in the afternoon but Sean got a 34″ Northern and I got a 25″ Walleye.
Got to go. More fishin to do.
Good day yesterday, 80 degrees with just enough wind. Stella got a 26.5 and a 24.5 Walleye & I got a 22.5, plus several 20 and 19 inch Walleye. Second 24.5 of the trip. Fish were in 22 ft yesterday, from 26-28 ft on Monday. Pink 1/4 jig and minnow working best. Staff and food is great as usual.
Grandma Rhody: While Reeling in a walleye a 33.5″ Northern grabbed the walleye next to the boat and G’Ma got credit for both catches!
Drake Lake was great! The weather is beautiful, Like Judy

Uncle Jim: 24″ walleye in the narrows
Also, saw a mama moose and a baby moose between the narrows and the leg lake entrance.
