Morning started with rain and winds however didn’t deter the Shad Rap Group from venturing out.
Trolling in high winds, Don Eisen caught and landed a 42 inch northern, using a smithwick - silver and blue. Honourable mention goes to Ron for netting said northern.
Honourable mention goes to Chuck for lending Don the lure.
To date, northern sizes go 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 (no 33, no 34), an a 35 and of course the 42.

Our first time guests and beginning of the season guests had a great time, enjoyed the service and said the meals were awesome.
FISHING was a little rough when they first arrived but they tried different depths and structure until they found right combination…and it paid off!
Rocky, sharp sloping shorelines in 18-20ft of water was the ticket. They recorded many fish above the 20″ mark with the following notables:
Mark: 24.5″
Mike: 26.5″
George: 25.5″, 27.5″, 28″
The bite was so light they didn’t feel any taps or bites but would only feel slight pressure, having to wait over a minute at times to let the fish work it’s way up the minnow to the hook. The fish caught were so thick and fat that they had to throw the conversion chart from Field and Stream out the window as it was an insult to their fish!
A great time had by all guests and a pleasure to have for the guests.
